3 Simple Ways to Use Online Marketing During the Holidays

Leading up to the holiday season, you can use online marketing tools to connect and engage with your prospective buyers and customers. Show them you appreciate them – and drive additional holiday business – with these three tips.

1. Give Your Online Community Special Holiday Offers

Reach out to your loyal following through email and social media with a special holiday offer – specifically for them. Reward them for being engaged with your business online, and you will in turn benefit from additional loyalty and sales.

A holiday offer can be anything from a discount on products or services, or the opportunity to be “first in line”. Make it something your target audience will appreciate!

2. Hold a Holiday Contest Online

Online contests are always a good way to drive business; and the holidays provide the perfect timing. There are lots of social media contests that you can run, including photo contests, voting contests, or sharing contests.

Contests can help spread your influence among social networks, as well as engaging your prospects and customers with something they can have fun with. Holiday-themed contests are another way to give something back to your community and participate in the holiday spirit.

Most contests can be held for free (for example, a “Fill in the Blank” contest on Facebook). If you want to have a more elaborate contest, there are tools that have been designed to launch and run them.  One of these is OfferPop, a simple and effective contest tool that won’t break the bank.

3. Wish Them a Happy Holiday

Simply send out a social media message or a personalized email that wishes your followers a happy and safe holiday. Even if they only take a moment to read it, it shows you are thinking about them – they will appreciate the gesture. The holiday season gives you an ideal opportunity to thank your supporters for their loyalty throughout the year.

And on that note:
